Teaching Staff:

Union Bethel is blessed to have many wonderful volunteer teachers and assistants who share their gift of teaching and instruction with adults, youth and children in our program.  We are always looking for additional teaching staff that have a dedication to all learners and who are willing to commit to teaching God's word.

Church School Programs and Curriculum:

Cradle Roll

The Cradle Roll program teaches toddlers Biblical truths through music, Bible stories and activities. We teach toddlers about God as they sing, enjoy stories, color pictures and play. At Union Bethel, children learn the truths of God’s Word and develop the character to listen, obey and share.

Kindergarten

The curriculum incorporates scripture lessons, songs, art/creative projects and take-home family activities to create a rich and memorable introduction to the important stories and characters of the Bible.

Elementary

Union Bethel elementary youth participate in a special program designed to explore the Holy Scriptures and different aspects of Christ’s life in ways appropriate for each age and grade level. The lessons often follow the themes used for sermons in church so adults and children may share and discuss teachings with one another.

Middle/High School

Middle- to High school students meet to discuss their studies in Biblical lessons and the truth of God’s Word. Teen youth join together for thought provoking discussions about their Christian faith and its relationship to their lives.

Adults

At Union Bethel, each of our adult classes has in-depth studies that bring us closer to understanding God's word. Our programs are designed to help adults live a more meaningful and fulfilling Christian life.

The Union Bethel A.M.E. Church School curriculum is designed to help shape younger students’ spiritual beliefs with elementary teachings of Biblical truth in collaboration with colorful pictures, engaging discussion and activities to instill knowledge leading to changes in attitude and behavior.  The curriculum is designed to encourage and inspire young people to continue their spiritual growth outside the confines of their home, church and school.

Youth in early to late adolescence need wisdom and guidance from the Bible in order to make independent and intelligent choices within the will of God.   The coursework helps shape urban teenagers' spiritual beliefs with deeper teachings of Biblical truth in collaboration with sophisticated Biblical art in the magazines, engaging discussion and activities to instill knowledge leading to changes in attitude and behavior.
