Updated Missive From the Pastor's Pen
May 14, 2020
FacebookProfileGreetings to my Union Bethel Church Family. I pray that this missive finds you and your loved ones safe and in good health.
By now I trust that all of you have heard the decision made by the Governor of our State on May 13, 2020 as it pertains to Amending a Restraining Order of Certain Businesses and Facilities, Item III Section A. “Granting Permissions for Resumption of Religious Services with Certain Restrictions.”
While this news is welcomed information, there remains great concern amongst several professionals in medical and scientific communities regarding the safety of such a decision.
As your Pastor, I have at all times -- but especially during this Pandemic -- placed and will continue to place the safety and welfare of our members and those who share in our Ministry as my highest concern.
In addition, I’m organizing a Re-Entry Task Committee that will consist of various resource persons who will explore and develop a model to ensure that this objective is achieved.
Therefore, I have determined that we at Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church Randallstown, will continue to utilize Virtual Technology in facilitating our Sunday Morning Worship and all other Ministries until it is determined that we can safely return to our place of Worship.
Once again I am grateful for our members who have made available their time and skills in technology, media and other areas, which has enabled us to provide ZOOM, Facebook & Conference Calls. These technologies have enabled us to facilitate Daily Morning Meditations, Weekly Bible Studies, Sunday Morning Worship and facilitate meetings.
Beloved, I solicit your continued prayers for our Church Family, Community, the Nation, the World and especially those who risk their lives in providing essential services during this incredibly challenging period.
Finally, be encouraged with the knowledge that this, too, shall pass!
I remain…
In His Service, Pastor Sembly
