Discover Your Gifts. Find Your Place. Serve with Purpose!”

See the attached PDF for a list of ministries being showcased November 1st and November 22nd, 2026.

There's a Place for YOU in Ministry! God has given each of us unique gifts, talents, and a purpose! We warmly invite our members, families, friends, and community to join us for Union Bethel's Ministry Showcase.

Come meet our ministry leaders and members, explore the many opportunities to serve, ask questions, and discover how you can become involved in the life and work of our church. Whether you're ready to serve or simply curious about what our ministries do, we'll be delighted to meet you, share information, and help you find a place to connect, grow, and make a difference!

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another...” — 1 Peter 4:10 (KJV)

October is Clergy Appreciation Month, a time to show some extra love and appreciation to our pastor and clergy who serve God and His people.

Much of what they do happens quietly and behind the scenes, but their care, commitment, and service make a difference in the lives of our church families and communities.

This month, we simply want to say thank you to Pastor Raymond F. Edmonds, Jr., Reverend Jerri Edmonds, Reverend Dr. Linda E. Mouzon, Reverend Dion Jones and Minister Trinity Johnson.

Thank you for answering God’s call, for caring for His people, and for continuing to serve even when the work isn’t easy. We appreciate you, we pray for you, and we thank God for you!

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart…” — Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV)

Celebrating 200 Years of Faith, Legacy & God’s Amazing Grace!

As Union Bethel continues our historic Bicentennial journey, we give God thanks for 200 years of unwavering faith, faithful witness, and generations of believers who have carried the Gospel from generation to generation.

On Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 10am, we joyfully welcome home our church family, friends, former members, and all who have been a part of the Union Bethel story for a glorious Bicentennial Homecoming Celebration!

We are especially blessed and honored to welcome as our Homecoming Guest Preacher, Rev. Dr. Vanetta L. Brice, Presiding Elder, Potomac District, Washington Annual Conference of the Second Episcopal District.

As we remember the faith of those who came before us, celebrate what God is doing among us today, and look with expectation toward the generations yet to come, we invite you to join us for this extraordinary moment in the life of Union Bethel.

Come Home to Union Bethel—where for 200 years, God has been faithful from Generation to Generation!

Generation to Generation: Experiencing Grace, Growth and Greatness”

For 200 years, Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church has stood as a living testimony to God's amazing grace, steadfast love, and unfailing faithfulness. From our humble beginnings to the thriving church family we are today, each generation has built upon the prayers, sacrifices, faith, and dedication of those who came before us. Through seasons of triumph and challenge, God has continued to guide our footsteps, strengthen our faith, and bless our journey. Our history is more than a collection of dates, photographs, and memories; it is the story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things through faith in an extraordinary God.

We invite you to turn the pages of our 200th Anniversary Souvenir Journal Flip Book and journey through two centuries of faith, fellowship, service, and cherished memories. As we honor those who laid the foundation, celebrate those who continue the work, and inspire the generations yet to come, may we always remember that the greatest legacy we can leave is a faith that endures.

Our story is still being written, our mission continues, and God's grace, growth, and greatness will carry us from generation to generation!

“One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4 (KJV)

To God Be the Glory for 200 Years — and for the Generations Yet to Come!
