Rev. Jerri Edmonds
Rev. Jerri D. Edmonds was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She is the second of three children of Garfield and Ruth Hudson. She received her early education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She received a B.A. in Information Science and Systems from Morgan State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Morgan State University and a Master Certification in Database Administration from the University of Maryland. She received the Master of Theology degree from The Ecumenical Institute of Theology (E.I.) at the St. Mary’s Seminary and University of Maryland. Rev. Edmonds is a retiree of her beloved alma mater, Morgan State University
Reverend Edmonds, along with her husband Rev. Raymond F. Edmonds, Jr. began the Gethsemane Ministry in October 1995, which is now the Gethsemane A.M.E. Church in Baltimore, MD. She acknowledged her call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in September 1997 and preached her trial sermon in June 1998. In October 2008, the Edmonds team was assigned to Falls Road A.M.E. Church. In July 2022 the Edmonds team was assigned to Union Bethel A.M.E. Church. At Union Bethel Rev. Edmonds serves as the Minister to Women, Director of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Director of the Youth and Young Adult Choir and Director of the Combined Choir. In April 2024 she was ordained an Itinerant Elder.
Reverend Edmonds has a passion for empowering God’s people to become all that He has called them to be through the Word of God and is committed to edifying the body of Christ by any means necessary.
The Reverends Edmonds are the proud parents of a son and daughter-in-love Raymond 3rd and Brianna and a loving daughter Cierra. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” She loves the Lord and prays that she will always be a vessel that He can use for His glory.
