Comfort & Bereavement

In times of loss and grief The Comfort and Bereavement Ministry offers families compassion and support through assisting with funeral arrangements, wakes, or memorial services and providing comfort to family members in the weeks following the funeral. The ministry provides ongoing bereavement education to parishioners and the wider community.

Lillian M. Dorsey Women’s Missionary Society

The Lillian M. Dorsey Senior Missionary Society is a structured organization from the local church to the connectional church. Throughout its existence, the Society’s concerns have been the economic, physical, social, and spiritual life of the church.

Good Samaritan Food Pantry

Food Giveaway – First Saturday of the month from 10am to 12pm

 

A caring community of volunteers who serve our church families and wider community with free nutritious food. We are committed to providing food at no cost on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 12pm at Union Bethel, 8615 Church Lane, Randallstown, MD 21133 (while supplies last).

If you are unable to attend a Food Giveaway, please call the Food Pantry at 410-655-7125 or email foodpantry@unionbethelamec.org to make an appointment. Appointments and/or walk-ins are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am-12 pm.

Lay Organization

Join us on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m

 

The purpose of the Lay Organization shall be to train the lay members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church so that each member may utilize to the maximum the abilities and skills granted by God, in assisting with the improvement and extension of God’s kingdom, and creating happiness, peace, and harmony among its members. 

 

Lay Organization Theme:  Building On Our Global Legacy of Christ Centered Leadership and Training

 

 The Lay Organization is composed of three or more persons formed for the purposes of:

  • Instilling in its membership a love and appreciation for the history, tradition and principles of African Methodism
  • Advocating respect and loyalty to constituted authority
  • Encouraging the support of the total church
  • Fostering systematic and regular study which will provide greater knowledge and participating in the church
  • Organizing and training lay members concerning the goals and objectives of the Connectional Lay Organization
